I was raised in a small town and just moved back to Madison. I am a people person. I love being around people from all walks of life. I can hang with almost anyone on the planet and do a decent job connecting with them in the first few minutes. I enjoy feeling like a contributor to the creation of community. There are things that I enjoy, but not more than being present with others. When it comes down to it, people are all we really have in this world.
What is your yoga journey?
My yoga journey started about 18 months ago when I walked into Ruthie's 90 min Saturday morning class. I was hooked. Ruthie firmly tied the yoga tourniquet and helped me see things in myself that I didn't know existed, and turned me on to Baptiste Power Vinyasa. I am proud to say I've completed 100 hours of my 200 hour teacher training program. I also completed my Level 2 trianing with Baron Baptiste and the Africa Yoga Project in Nairobi, Kenya in 2013.
Where else have you called home?
I've lived in Wisconsin my entire life. Even though winter is 9 months long, I'm hooked and think its the greatest place anyone could set up home base.
Why have you chosen to work with Olive Tree Yoga Foundation?
I like to create community and Olive Tree is a community creator that I feel strongly about. By empowering people here and abroad, OTYF has led me on the path to my own power and has lit a fire in me to help others find their paths as well.
OTYF is a 501c3 non-profit organization registered in the United States
