I grew up in a small town and moved to the city of London to study Fashion Merchandising. Like most 22 year olds fresh out of school I have no idea what I am doing with my life, so I plan to spend some time losing myself in the world and see all the beauty that it has to offer.
What is your yoga journey?
Upon moving to London I began practicing yoga and it quickly became the one constant in my life, helping me to better myself and my life. As a person with anxiety, yoga has become my means of dealing with the daily stress in myself, giving me a place and time to focus on just me.
Where else have you called home?
I was born in Burundi, Africa, raised in the small town of Fort Erie, Ontario, and I now call London home.
What inspires you?
Clear blue skies, the sound of children playing/laughing, the smell of fresh flowers, the feeling of the hot summer sun, the smell of the crisp fall air, the look of snow falling, the smell of rain, cities and people I have never met, my family, my friends, yoga, love, happiness, music, a great novel, art (of all kinds), colour!
Why have you chosen to work with Olive Tree Yoga Foundation?
Olive Tree Yoga Foundation to me is possibility, I work for OTYF because OTYF showed me the endless possibilities that I myself and the world have to offer. I work for OTYF so that I may be able to show others out in the world the same.
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever gotten?
"If all else, be sure everything and anything you may strive for in life brings you happiness, because nothing is worth it if you aren't happy"
OTYF is a 501c3 non-profit organization registered in the United States
